The 2027 Calendar has arrived, bringing together twelve artworks in a collection designed to be enjoyed throughout the year.
Each month features a different work from Jennifer Bell’s studio practice, with paintings selected for their colour, pattern and detail. Together, they create a changing collection of contemporary Australian art for the wall, moving through different colours and compositions as the year unfolds.
Twelve Months of Art
Choosing work for an art calendar is a little different from selecting pieces for an exhibition or collection. Each artwork needs to stand on its own, while the twelve works also need to sit comfortably together as a complete collection.
The 2027 calendar brings together artworks exploring some of the recurring ideas within Jennifer’s practice: pattern, repetition, movement and the structures found throughout the natural world.
Across the twelve months, intricate repeated marks, layered colour and abstract pattern shift from one artwork to the next, offering a closer look at the different ways these ideas have developed within the studio.
